Alright, so everyone knows what May means right? Food of course! Well…graduations to be more exact. While most of us think about all of the parties we will be going to and what food is going to be where, graduates are busy not only trying to navigate their future but now throw together some party for all of their friends and family (or where I’m from, basically the whole community). Now this can be really stressful on families and just like during any other major celebration, as the planning begins, tensions run high. So hopefully I can help a little bit with that! After providing desserts for my own graduation and several others, I feel like I have a bit of useful advice I could offer you soon-to-be graduates and family members. Ordering So, the first thing I want to talk about is when to order your sweets! Now it usually depends on who you get them from, so while some bakeries want to know months in advance, other places would probably be able to get you something the day of. In order to be safe, I would say it is better to plan ahead and try to ask someone at least a month ahead of time, so neither party feels rushed and you are able to get a product you want. Either way, it is good to start thinking about what desserts you will be having at your graduation sooner rather than later.

As I mentioned in my bio, there are many reasons I love baking, such as being able to express my creativity and push myself to master new skills. However, one of the best things about it, is being able to share it with others. On many occasions, people send me photos of themselves or others with the products I provided for them, and nothing makes me happier than seeing a smile I was able cause. Featured in this post are just some of the many pictures I have received from people with the products I created for them, and their smiles say it all! There is just something about the feeling of creating something out of nothing after being provided with only a few simple details or requests, and then turning around and creating a product that is exactly, if not more than what they asked for. Consequently, I thought the perfect topic for my first blog post would be one of the main reasons behind why I not only love baking, but being able to share that with others, and also why I always want to keep pushing myself to improve! Of course making other people happy is a great reason to share your talents and passions with the rest of the world, but if it makes you smile, then what better reason could there be? Finding something you are passionate about and sharing it with the rest of the world can be a great help to many aspects of your life, such as boosting your self-esteem and confidence and even reducing stress. It's a feeling that few things can top. Ever notice how good it feels to do something for someone else, especially if it was volunteered without them having to ask? In a world with so much negativity and strife, what could be more important than everyone trying to do their part to make it somewhat of a better place, whether that is for themselves or someone else? |
AuthorHi, Breanne again! This is where you will be able to find all of my blogs, and I am excited to see what I find to write about next. Maybe I will even be able to inspire you to do some baking or maybe it will just be a little entertainment for your day. Either way, baking and writing are two activities I really enjoy, so I look forward to being able to share that with you! Categories
